I have Heartmon and Heartopus too (for anyone who is interested), but I just got this one so its new and soft and great! I went to a great German restaurant here called Margaret's and they had kinder surprise eggs by the register. I don't know how many of you have ever experienced a kinder surprise but they are great! There is creamy milk chocolate on the outside and delicious white chocolate on the inside. Also on the inside is a plastic capsule. I will admit that I am a sucker for the phrase "toy inside" and I had to say that the plastic toy inside filled me with almost as much excitement as the yummy chocolate. So I open the capsule and I got a pirate. That's cute. Then I open it and there is a tiny treasure map inside! That's cool. I go through the papers he comes with and there are stickers and you can play online. This is officially uber cool! ~ bibi ^u^

So much to tell you all! I Am the Trend put us on their page today and they posted Heartmon and they totally mentioned us in their podcast! I was giddy! They showed our site and everything and I was totally like, "I drew that element with my own two hands!" and Evan nodded because he already knew that because he was there when I did it and after scanning in my sketches and stuff I made him put them on the site. So really it should have been Evan going "Yay!" but whatever. IATT!

Also, we have a new shirt!! Heart-o-pus is the new shirt and I love it. I made the little blue octopus the model is wearing. I'm happy it made it into the photos we chose (Evan thinks its baller apparently). There's a little story I wrote in its product description with a moral and everything. Well, that's about it. Okay. I love you. Bye-bye!

Hey guys! Evan here :)

Sorry I haven't stopped by to post on the blog for a week or two. My house has decided to fall apart (no seriously, the water heater caught on fire, the bathroom ceiling is caving in, the fence collapsed all around, and the heater/air conditioning unit died lol)!

I'm giving up on it at this point. Nuff house, back to an apartment. At least i'll have a great view from the 13th floor!! (eep!!)

Just thought i'd say hi, oh and give a heads up on one of our favorite corners of the net. If you haven't checked it out yet, not long ago I am the trend switched over to a new site, and has been rockin it ever since! They have videocast reviews of shirts and music, and pretty much all things trendy.

This is our new shirt. It is called freckles because the girl in the print has freckles and because I really like the song "Freckles" by the Oak Ridge Boys. I was able to take these pictures with some old farm equipment and such and I felt that the Oak Ridge Boys would approve.

For everyone wondering who the Oak Ridge Boys are, they are an old band that played some fun sort of bluegrass songs that got a little country sometimes but were pretty dependably fun. My mom had a cassette she played in her car and my grandma had an 8-track she played in her Volvo. Yay! Memories! Anyway, this shirt has a fun sketched look with lots of curvy lines and the added mystery of large shades. I like the little heart in her hair too. It's like an emote or something. So, please give freckles a look and let us know what you think. Until next time.

It was a tall order to come out with a new shirt cooler than our last one, but I think we struck gold with Bowie. It's a giraffe wearing a huge green bow with flowers on it. This giraffe is big on cuteness and really wants to live in your closet. Heads up! Our new design is a giraffe!

The first orders will get a special thank you gift. One of these hand painted heart plushies. Each plush is hand painted by me (with acrylic and shirt paint). So they will all be a little different. They are also filled with materials that otherwise would have been trash. Don't worry, no old fruit. Things like plastic bags, (actually makes a really nice filling), scrap cloth, and a little fiber fill to add to the fluffiness. The back is super soft felt. You can pet it! They are even hand sewn! Plush Progress Part One!

Okay, i'm writting this first part for Bibi, because she's STILL slaving over these plushies she's been working on. So far we have six really big ones, that look amazingly cute. After a while we decided that those took too long to make haha. So we're finishing the big ones and working on some smaller ones so we can make sure to spread them throughout orders as much as possible!

She's having altogether too much fun with this project I think ahhaha. Grand Opening Tomorrow woooot!

We're so stoked, the site is skinned, our model shots are in, the tees are looking amazing and ready to go out! We'll be bringing the shirts and site up for sale as of tomorrow around 10am CST !

Bibi has decided to try her hand at sewing plush dolls too, (pictures coming soon, she glared at me holding the camera so), and so you can probably expect to see those in your early orders as a little surprise if they come out as great as I think they will!

We've been getting some questions about pre-ordering, and tell you what, if you want to email your size and shirts you'd like via contact us button at the top, today only, i'll reserve the shirt for you :) we don't have a ton in this first batch, so if there's one you really love absolutely don't hesitate to send in an email and preorder one before they go up live tomorrow!

Bibi here. I made a crazy cool square for our twitter page that can repeat and look fun and totally wild. You can put it on your computer background and set it to tile to see what I mean.

Evan thinks I am now addicted to doodling but I was actually already addicted. I just get to use the doodles now.

Apparently, some images in this square freak Evan out. I guess the bird carrying the heart away. He thought it was a head. ? But look how happy the heart is to be flying. Besides, the heart population in this square is vast and thinning out their numbers is probably necessary to this little pink eco-system. That's a fact, Evan. That's science. You can't argue with science, Evan.

So, major breakthrough for me. I know. You're going to be like...duh dood. BUT LISTEN, I didn't know how to skin the buttons and menu items and cart items and all those things in Big cartel but now I know :)

I have her frantically sketching more. weee. Oh and we made an emptees account, cuz that's where all the cool kids hang out. They're quite good people :) I'm worried that i'm losing hours going through goofy forum posts and sketches of the month entries. Aghh!

Our site is coming along great, thanks all those who friended us on twit and fb, and all the positive comments and help we've gotten thus far. My next mission: To find a way to add a top menu to this blog linking to our other blogs and shop! bah.

Ack! Bibi seems to have beat me to first post but only because I was busy MAKING the blog :)

Did you see that desk of hers!? Okay okay maybe i'm a "little" bit of a clean freak but you know, one night i'm going to swoop in like a ninja, and clean it completely up without her knowing. I'll take stealthy night shots to prove it.

I hope everybody has excellent st. Patties plans. One of the popular streets around town here started celebrations at 7 this morning...which is, for back of a better word...commitment. Woot!

Anyways, "Love Virus" has been our side project we've been working on for a while now, and are really excited that we have everything coming together now! We will be opening soon (maybe even next week! ) and already have three way cute designs.

Me and one of my best frienddsss evahhh went around town this weekend and stormed every crazy location we could find for the perfect pictures! I have never really been a great photographer, but we still had a great time and I think the shoots came out fantastic despite :)

Oh cool news is we have a facebook now too! wee for technology. Oh and twitter. Which i'm personally pretty new to, despite my secret geekiness. Twitter is weird could I just say, and lonely. I feel like I think I only have bots following me. So i'd love it if you came by and helped me not be so lonely on that thing. Bibi says i'm impatient. But well. yeah I'm impatient :)

Anyhoo, Bibi and I have a bit of a competition going on who's more popular. She made a facebook, and I was like, well i'm making a twitter then! Of course she's already kickin my butt with friends.

Introductions!

Greetings! I'm Bibi and Evan and I are the brains (or lack thereof?) behind Love Virus, a new bigcartel store in which most if not all of our free time has been going towards these days. I work hard and I have to admit that stuff sort of piled up but it doesn't bother me. It bothers Evan. That's funny.

(ack run! messy desk!!!)

We've been working like mad, (Mad I tell you!) getting things ready and we have our first shirt of the week!

We've dubbed it 'heartmon,' and the tee's a totally great retro gamer design that I think is my personal fav of our 3 designs right now.

Keep checking back, because every Tuesday there will be a new t-design up there (Unless we get fired. In which case, TWO designs! bwhahaha).

All the shirts are $15 (because we're tired of overpriced stuff and poor...booo recession) and all the shirts are going to be American Apparel or Alternative Apparel women's shirts with great fits and feels.

OOOOOooooh... soft. This site is for the girls and the guys shopping for girls or the guys that dig girl shirts (or their GFs!). I love you! Bye-bye.
